Linda and Pamela combine their unique approaches to improving the art and craft of story-telling to bring your organization both in-depth and wide-ranging presentations covering theme, plot, character, dialogue, symbols, and imagery utilizing film clips, lectures, and interactive exercises.
Dr. Linda Seger created and defined the job of script consultant when she began her business in 1981, based on a method for analyzing scripts she developed for her dissertation project. Since then, she has written eight popular books on screenwriting, consulted on over 2000 scripts, including over 40 produced feature films and about 35 produced television projects. Her clients have included TriStar Pictures, Ray Bradbury, William Kelley, Linda Lavin, Suzanne de Passe, Tony Bill, as well as production companies and writers from six continents.
Kathie and Pamela specialize in coordinated workshops which encompass the art and craft of storytelling/mythology with the practicalities of the business of being a writer. They provide an expanded perspective on writing (be it a screenplay, novel manuscript, short story, etc.) utilizing film clips, lectures and interactive exercises.
Kathie Fong Yoneda, author of The Script-Selling Game, has been a Hollywood “insider” for over 25 years, specializing in story analysis/development at Paramount, MGM, 20th Century Fox, Disney and Universal. She’s held executive positions at Walt Disney, Touchstone, Island Pictures, and Disney TV Animation and has taught more than 100 seminars and workshops all over North America, Asia and Europe. Her clientele list includes several award-winning novelists and screenwriters.
In addition to being a core member of the on-line faculty at Writers University, Kathie also team-teaches with Linda Seger, Pamela Jaye Smith and Pamela Wallace. She is also a partner in TalkStory Productions which co-exec produced the popular cable series Beyond The Break.
Bruce and Pamela have many years experience in the Hollywood film and TV industry and have worked on feature films and TV series at major studios as well as for independent companies, on international commercials, music videos, documentaries, as well as corporate, non-profit, community, and military films. They have worked together on a number of projects as director/cinematographer and producer.
Bruce Logan has won multiple Emmys. Bruce is a director/cameraman of commercials specializing in action, comedy, automobiles, and special visual effects. As a director of photography of feature films, commercials, and music videos he works in all film and digital formats. As a visual effects supervisor/producer Logan specializes in digital compositing, greenscreen, hi-speed photography, miniatures, VFX pipelines, and virtual set technology.
Bruce is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers, the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, and the International Photographers Guild.
Some of his credits include Batman – Forever, Tron (the original), Star Trek “The Movie”, Star Wars, and music videos for Madonna, Prince, R. Kelly, Rod Stewart, Aerosmith, and The Go-Gos.
Geffrey and Pamela have worked together on various media projects for clients from General Motors to independent filmmakers. They went through five years formal training in the Wisdom Teachings together and are both certified teachers of the Mystery Schools. Using film clips and interactive exercises they bring the power and fun of Applied Mythology to your project and/or organization.
Geffrey von Gerlach is an acclaimed Doctor of Oriental Medicine, a certified Life Coach, an artist, graphic designer, and novelist. From the BBC in London, to New York, and then on to Los Angeles, Geffrey’s unique visual talents have enhanced films, TV shows, Broadway plays, magazines [GQ, Forbes, Men’s Wear, American Home and Seventeen], commercials, and still shoots. He has restored paintings for Malcolm Forbes, created visuals for Colleen Dewhurst plays, and painted portraits of Glenda Jackson, Donald Sutherland, Michael York and many more.
For six years Geffrey was the Designer and Director of Phoenix Art Group’s annual Inizio extravaganzas with themes such as: Art in Orbit, Grand Tour and Broadway Medley.
Ghost Points is von Gerlach’s decades-spanning novel about a once celebrated photographer, who, lost in a coma due to an unsuccessful suicide is given a chance, through the legendary art of acupuncture, to relive the passions and adventures of his remarkable life. His mystery novel Beehive Arizona will be released in 2012.
